79-ch 15 mm MMDM with optimised actuator geometry

OKO introduces a 79-channel 15 mm membrane deformable mirror MI4-v1. The device features novel geometry of actuators, specially designed for the best approximation of the low-order Zernike polynomials in the working aperture of 8.7 mm. The mirror is commercialision of our research and development activities funded by ECSEL in terms of MADEin4 project. The membrane can be controlled using 2 40-ch standard HV amplifier units connected to 2 USB or Ethernet DAC modules.

Linear deformable mirrors

OKO Tech produces membrane and piezoelectric DM for ultrafast pulse control. These mirrors are usually used in a stretcher for selective control of the delays of chosen spectral components. Linear PDM for pulse compression The linear piezoelectric deformable mirror for femtosecond pulse shaping has 10x50mm active area, controlled by two rows of 10 actuators each. The actuator pitch is 5 mm. The maximum surface deflection is 6 um, the profile difference between the adjacent actuators can reach 3um.

96-ch DM powered and controlled by a single USB link

OKO introduces a 96-channel 25.4 mm membrane deformable mirror with embedded control electronics. The device has sturdy compact enclosure with dimensions of 90 x 90 x 43 mm (volume is about 0.35 l), it is powered and controlled by a single USB link. The mirror features full deflection of 19 μm and maximum update rate of 2 kHz. With the development of this DM, OKO makes possible to build a complete AO system that does not require any external power supply, as all the power for the WF sensor and the DM is provided through available USB ports of the control computer, with total power consumption for a complete 96-ch AO system not exceeding 5 W.

Laser Deformable Mirrors

We offer flexible modular adaptive optical systems with 19 to 109 control channels with mirror apertures 15 to 50mm. Deformable mirrors for laser applications can be coated with bare metals such as Aluminum, Silver, and Gold. We also manufacture deformable mirrors for high power laser applications. These mirrors feature 99.99% reflectivity for a chosen wavelength. We also manufacture deformable mirrors for ultrafast lasers, with 98% broadband metal/dielectric coatings for 550-1000nm, centered at 800nm.

Piezoelectric DM

{gallery /}OKO Technologies produces low-cost piezoelectric deformable mirrors (PDM) with clear aperture of 30 mm and 50 mm, for laser and imaging applications. The full surface stroke is 6 μm standard, with maximum stroke between the adjacent actuators in the range 1 to 3 μm. The DM is controlled by OKO HV amplifer(s) and interfaced to a PC using 8-bit PCI, 12-bit USB, or 16-bit Ethernet controller(s). The full-amplitude mechanical response of the mirror is faster than 150 microsecond, but usually the response time is limited to 0.
